Unboxing Your Artwork
Artworks from Beaumont Prints are carefully delivered rolled within protective fibreboard mailing tubes. This method provides exceptional protection during transit and helps ensure each print arrives in pristine condition. As a result of this protective packaging, prints will retain a gentle curl when first removed from the tube.
When unboxing, carefully remove the artwork and handle it with clean hands or with the cotton gloves provided to avoid transferring oils to the surface of the paper. Fine art papers are crafted to capture exceptional detail and texture, and thoughtful handling helps preserve their quality.
Allowing the Print to Settle
Before framing, the print should be allowed to return to a flat form gradually. This step ensures the artwork sits properly within the frame and avoids unnecessary stress on the paper.
Place the print on a clean, flat surface free from dust and moisture. A protective sheet of paper can be placed over the artwork, followed by a broad, evenly distributed weight such as a stack of books. Gentle, consistent pressure allows the paper to settle naturally without creating creases or distortion.
Most prints will relax and flatten within 24 to 48 hours, though this may vary slightly depending on the paper and the degree of curl from shipping.

Once the artwork has fully flattened, it is ready for framing. Framing plays an important role in both presentation and preservation. A well-selected frame enhances the artwork's visual presence while protecting it from dust, humidity, and environmental exposure.
